About Steve & Lisa Adams
In 1972, standing by an old upright piano played by his mother, Pat, Steve sang his 1st note. He was the ripe old age of 4. The family sang in church and at area revivals and special meetings. Steve took over as Minister of Music from his grandfather, James at 16 and continued in the role for 32 years.
In 1986, a new family joined the church and they became fast friends with Steve and his family and their daughter Lisa shared the same love of music that Steve did. Time passed and Steve & Lisa got married in 1999.
In early 2000, Steve & Lisa were on their way to a revival service to sing and Chris, a friend of theirs had came along with them. While they practiced a few songs for the night they heard a 3rd vocal coming from the back seat. Their voices sounded so good together, they decided to form a trio and called themselves, Blessed Hope.
The group continued to sing at church and area events for close to 20 years. When Chris was lead to the missionary field Steve’s cousin Andrew, took the spot of Tenor while Matt, Steve’s other cousin ran the sound for the group until they retired the group in 2016.
In 2017, Steve was contacted by Darrell Webb of The Southern-Aires about he and Lisa filling the roles of Lead & Soprano for the group. The couple met with Darrell & his wife Wanda and it was a perfect fit. The Lord facilitated a smooth transition for the four and they quickly started filling dates. Which they did until Darrell retired the group in early 2022.
With The Southern-Aires retiring, Steve & Lisa decided to continue on as a duet and have recently just released their 1st project together titled, “Hymns From The Old Country Church”. Steve & Lisa continue to travel and sing praises to the Lord, pointing lost souls to Calvary and encouraging other Christians to keep working for the Lord.
